Currently, the city of Eureka does not allow golf carts on the road. Many other surrounding cities such as Chillicothe (Ordinance Ch. 78, Sec. IV), Goodfield, IL (Ordinance #14-07), Mackinaw, IL (Ordinance 985), & Metamora, IL (Ord. No. 2012-1, § 3, 2-7-2012) to name a few, that do allow permitted use of golf carts with obvious rules in place governing them. This petition is in favor of golf carts & UTVs within subdivisions and the lake area. By signing this petition, you are showing the city council of Eureka that a large number of the population/voters do want to utilize golf carts / UTVs within the city of Eureka, following similar rules of other cities.
