This is a petition to John Mara and Steve Tisch, of the New York Giants; as well as the Johnson family of the New York Jets. We, your loyal fans, are calling on you to remove the artificial turf at MetLife Stadium and replace it with natural grass. Metlife Stadium is humorously referred to as “The Injury Capital of the NFL” by the rest of the league. In 2021, MetLife Stadium accounted for 11 more non-contact injuries than any other stadium in the league. From injury statistics collected from 2012-2018:

• Players have a 28% higher non-contact injury rate playing on turf vice grass.
• Players have a 32% higher chance of knee injury playing on turf vice grass. 
• Players have a 69% higher chance of ankle or foot injuries playing on turf vs grass.

Bottom line up front- we, as fans, have had enough. We are tired of spending our hard earned money watching these teams play that are consistently above the league average in non-contact football injures.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! If you care about your player safety or your fans- FIX OUR FIELD!
