Friends,
I come to you with a simple request. Action. For far too many years now, we’ve all taken to social media to complain about our wasted money on buying the same old Madden game year in and year out.
I realize, that due to our love of football and/or video games, getting enough people to agree to simply not purchase the game just won’t ever be enough. This is because the NFL, and EA Sports, pray on this love of ours and due to exclusivity rights, (aka a monopoly) we are forced to buy this game if we want to play any football game.
Calling what EA Sports puts out every year a simulation football game is only correct in the sense that it “simulates” a Pokémon game, which is fitting because at this point the Madden franchise has become just that, where all the Pokémon (aka players) have “special abilities”. I myself almost couldn’t believe that with next generation consoles out, and this level of technology available, combined with the annual revenue of Madden alone (not counting other EA titles in their library that generate revenue) that it’s a legitimate statement.
So I ask that you join me among the millions of others that love football, the NFL, and video games, in getting the attention of whomever it takes. Whether that’s Roger Goodell, the NFL PA, EA Sports, etc. in an effort to demand that they cease the monopoly that they’ve created that has resulted in millions of OUR hard earned dollars being stolen from us by false promises from EA Sports.
Sincerely,
Frustrated Fans Everywhere
