Did you know that children in elementary school in the Kettering City School district get approximately 23 minutes to eat their lunch? This is not just 23 minutes to eat, this is 23 minutes to:
Get into the lunch room from recess.
Go through the lunch line.
Find their seats.
Eat their food.
Clean up their plates.
Line up to go back to class.
This spring, I watched students have 10 minutes to eat their lunches - the majority of them did not get to eat even half.
Sign this petition to let the Kettering City School Board and Administration know that we are not happy with our children not being able to eat. Hungry bellies can not learn. Give our children the dignity and respect they deserve by letting them eat.
