It is with a deep sense of responsibility that we write to you as Africans both on the continent and in the Diaspora, to demand equality and justice for our beloved African Brothers and Sisters that for over 80 decades, and to this day, have been subjected to human trafficking, slave trade, rape and murder. The recent horrific massacre of our African brothers and sisters in Melilla, a border town of Morroco that is controlled by Spain, is just another example.
This call is to bring awareness to the conditions that enable African youth to be treated in the way they have been, and are being treated on the continent, and globally. 24th of June should be treated as an Annual Day of mourning across Africa, and the diaspora, the AU, UN and by other African & International Authorities.
By mandating that the 24th of June be a day or mourning yearly in all African States and the Diaspora, it would enable us to achieve the following:
Africans and their Leaders will use the day to reflect on the deplorable economic state of their continent and on ways to improve the living standards of its people so that our youth will stop the drift out of Africa into foreign
Nations that are not as accommodating as we have been of them, and treats us badly.
Hold the African Political Class responsible for the poor state of development in Africa.
A mental renaissance of Africans that inspires Africans to embrace each other, value themselves as individuals and rediscover their indigenous traditions including the economic.
Let go of the heritage of slavery that still bind us to Europe.
Discourage the abuse of Africans.
Finally, as a people we deserve equal rights and value. Africa and Africans gave civilisation to the world, has contributed immensely and is still contributing to the development of the human race. We call on all Africans globally to stand together in unity to achieve this noble Agenda, for this generation and even the unborn. It is our responsibility to reinforce our Values, Culture, Traditions, Norms and Ethics that make us unique and respected once again by others.
God bless Africa our Mother Land!
