April of 2009 I was arrested for burglary and illegal dwelling. Upon all of my denials I was still booked and sent in front of a judge. When my public defender came to me he said “it’s not looking good. They have a video of you leaving the property and that it’s best I took a plea”

I denied it. I explained my story. My daughters mother and I had just broken up. I went to the house to get my belongings and a jar that was filled with Pennie’s and quarters and that was it. 
the mother of my daughters mother called the cops and said they had been robbed. I was sent to rikers island where for 4 months I lived in hell. Having to fight almost everyday. To even being transported to a court house where I didn’t have court while handcuffed and on a bus full of people that wanted to harm me. 
August of 2009 the public defender told me they were going to give me 15 years if I was convicted at trail. Hearing that number I said fine. I’ll take the plea. 3 years with 3 years post supervision. At sentencing I tried to take my plea back. I didn’t want to go to prison for something I did not do. The judge told me no that it would “be a waste of tax payers dollars” and proceeded with the sentencing. 

the victim of this crime just wrote the Brooklyn D.A telling them that it wasn’t as it appeared and that the story was fabricated. 
they charged me as a violent felon. Although no guns or weapons of any kind were found. When I took my belongings there wasn’t even anyone home. They then D.A and judge took advantage of a teenager with no one in his corner. 
They didn’t want the truth but a conviction. With the victim finally coming forward. I am asking for signatures to help me get the attention of the Politicians in office at the Brooklyn D.a office and let them know that I’m willing to fight now. 

i am a father of 2. Was considered one of the best chefs under 30 in New York and have been a law abiding citizen since my release. I just want my life back and I am ready to fight and start a new one when this is done. 
i don’t want to sue anyone. I don’t want money. I just want my life back.
