Gun violence is a delicate yet a controversial topic.  Violent attacks are increasingly affecting youths in grades 9 to 12. Due to the many casualties that have occurred, it has become a major concern for schools across the nation. This is a concern that is no longer limited to large cities but extends to smaller cities and rural areas. It is of great concern to all cultures, races, and genders. We all need to unite against gun violence in our schools. Change must begin at home; parents need to responsibly store away any owned weapons. Citizens must elect public officials who will enact stricter gun control laws to protect our wards thus shutting down vendors without permits. We need to ensure that elected public officers endorse drastic legislation that will protect children by limiting the number of guns in our communities, and controlling who can obtain firearms and the conditions of their use. Individuals and communities must act to end the culture of gun violence that desensitizes us. All life matters.
